FACES - bUILDING A BETTER TOMORROW THROUGH EDUCATION
Throughout the years Faces has assisted several youths to pursue their education by helping with school fees, accommodation, food, and upkeep. By God’s grace, several are financially stable and able to support themselves and their family. We have one young man who graduated as a pharmacist. Despite being orphaned when he was in high school, he did not give up; instead, he worked hard to eradicate the cycle of poverty for himself and his 2 brothers who were left at a tender age. Stanley and Cecilia provided funds to assist with their schooling. The joy of Faces Inc. is seeing these lives changed.
Another benefactor of Faces, orphaned at a tender age, Stanley and Cecilia opened their home in Kenya and provided him with accommodations as he did odd jobs to make ends meet. Currently, he owns 2 businesses and has employed 3 youths, making an impact on their lives.
Currently, Faces has 7 youths who are in school. The support they receive to pay their school fees and provide upkeep allows them to pursue their education with ease. Through education, these youths and young adults will be empowered to pursue a better tomorrow for themselves and their families. 3 are currently in university, 2 are in high school, and 2 are in trade school. Most of them were divinely connected to Faces when all hope was gone, some just before they dropped out of school, and others after many years of being a dropout.
Stanley has been a great inspiration to them, having dropped out of high school for 10 years. He went back to adult education in Kenya where he obtained his high school diploma. Upon relocating to the USA, he pursued GED and other certificates and now he holds a BSN. A testament to these youth and young adults that nothing is impossible.
In 2023, a conference was held titled “Favored and not forgotten.” Stanley shared his story with 165 youths and young adults from different parts of Kenya. Since then, several of them who have dropped out of school or are on the verge of dropping out have reached out with the desire to pursue their education. Given a chance, we believe these youth and young adults will change the trajectory of their lives and their families and break the poverty cycle. To see testimonials click here.
